You are completely missing the point if you liken this to a remote. Some of us don't live in a dorm room and actually want an integrated home solution which doesn't revolve around finding the remote buried under a pile of magazines, then fathoming which of the 100 buttons to press to turn the lights on or increase the volume of the background music.

I agree with preed, this is a great alternative to a touchpanel for "high-end" AV installs. This beats a standard electrical switch any day!!!
